Construction of the Sutomore Waterfront Square and Promenade – Phase I

Client: Municipality of Bar, Public Enterprise for Coastal Zone Management of Montenegro and Public Works Administration Podgorica

Status: Completed in 2021

Phase I of the project involved the reconstruction and enhancement of the Sutomore waterfront area, including the development of a new public square, promenade and associated public spaces.

The works included the construction of a circular plaza with a monument, landscaped public areas, retaining and boundary walls, access ramps and urban furniture. A distinctive colonnade was created using reinforced concrete columns and beams to define the hospitality terrace zone. Additional improvements included new pedestrian connections, beach access infrastructure, seating areas and extensive landscaping.
